Human Growth Hormone (HGH) – Blessing or Tragedy on the Horizon
The Editors of this anti-aging information blog personally take: Genf20 Plus for it's powerful anti-aging effects on the body and mind.
While it’s true that we are all fighting the aging process, one way or the other, shouldn’t we consider the setbacks involved when we go too far? Are we gong too far with our anti-aging treatments, such as with HGH? We are all influenced by Hollywood and its stars that are forever youthful. Some claim it’s their increased water consumption, others say they hire chefs that feed them with all the right nutrients, exercise, and the list goes on. Most of our stars and starlets get physical work done, i.e. plastic surgery, some invasive, some non-invasive. Now we come to even newer anti-aging methods: HGH.
You will find upon researching HGH that there are many setbacks involved, the most frightening being that long-term research has not been conducted. So, if we started taking HGH at age 40 until for 20 years, we are not certain of the side effects we will suffer at age 60. Scary, isn’t it? Also scary is the fact that some doctors promise you reversal of aging with HGH, if you are willing to pay big bucks for it.
The Facts:
Roughly in your 40s, your pituitary gland (located in your brain) gradually reduces the amount of the natural growth hormone it produces.
It is believed that this reduction in the level of natural growth hormone is the aging culprit. Thus, in order to combat growing old, some have turned to HGH, the synthetic growth hormone.
HGH is available on the internet at various websites in pill form. But, clinical studies have shown that ingested HGH, i.e. oral HGH does not make it to the body tissues as it is absorbed by the stomach. Web sites also sell homeopathic remedies claiming to contain human growth hormone. There’s no proof that these work, either.
There are homeopathic remedies claiming to contain HGH available on the internet, but there is no proof they work.
In actuality, you can only obtain the synthetic human growth hormone with a doctor’s prescription and is in the form of injection.
HGH is federally approved for medical reasons such as pituitary tumors or surgery to the gland; AIDS and HIV related muscle loss or wasting, to mention a few.
For the reasons listed below, HGH has led many to believe that if it works so well for the ill, it can do wonders for the healthy adults looking to stay forever young.
For medical reasons, again, HGH has shown positive results in adults suffering from growth hormone deficiencies with regards to: increased bone density and muscle mass; improved mood and motivation in subjects; boosted the heart’s ability to contract; and reduced body fat.
Perhaps we should follow the old adage: IF IT AIN’T BROKE, DON’T FIX IT. Why? Well, more often than not, when we fix one medical problem with continuous medication, we seem to be “breaking” something else or awakening some other medical problem.
Taking HGH as a healthy adult when it is not medically required can lead to symptoms as follows: carpal tunnel symptoms, swelling in arms and legs, diabetes, high blood pressure, headaches, arthritis-like symptoms, hardening of the arteries, muscle pain, abnormal bone growth, abnormal organ growth, and bloating. Because the studies of healthy adults taking HGH have been short-termed, it is difficult to say whether these side-effects will go away over time or worsen.
Studies have proven that regular exercise does wonders for all at any age. Of course with your doctor’s consent, you should consider a regimen that works for you. You will probably see similar beneficial results to what HGH has to offer, like increased muscle mass, better circulation, improve your mood, give you more energy, etc. All these benefits come from exercise without anything foreign injected into your body. It’s as simple as weighing the pros and cons. Maybe the question you should ask yourself is: Is the Human Growth Hormone a Blessing or Tragedy on the Horizon.
